The reviews on this product are by and large impressive. However, before deciding on a vacuum cleaner, or just any gadget, it is extremely important to look into the attributes of the product. Make sure that the product you are going to buy actually comes with all the attributes to cater your need, so that it never falls short of your expectations. All the same, for me, this unit is a dream to own. In fact, it is perhaps the best Christmas present that I have ever got from my parents. This is why, I fail to resist the temptation of sharing my experiences with this home-aid of mine.
Design
Whenever I look at the mint, I thank the wise designers for giving it a square shape. I did own a different vacuum cleaner previously, and I particularly remember how ineffective it was to clean the corners of my rooms. Thankfully, it has gone to sleep, and I have the Mint now. It is astonishingly good at cleaning the dirt that sticks around the nooks of my rooms. Additionally, being flat in contour, it can easily slip under any of your low level furniture and grab every speck of dust and debris. No wonder, it is only after I have started using this machine, I could rid myself from the frequent backaches which I suffered after straining my back to move the furniture only to get at those dust particles.
NorthStar Navigation
The NorthStar navigation system or the NorthStar Cube actually works akin to an in-house GPS system that assists my gadget to cognize where it has been and where it should go. To put it simply, the NorthStar Navigation Cube acts as a visual signal that helps Mint to find out its location. Once it starts to do the cleaning for me, it attempts to connect with the Navigation Cube. The cube indicates one flashing blue light on the Navigation System Indicator. The moment the gadget locks itself onto the cube, its lights change to solid blue. Then it starts to clean. Doing so, it maps out the area. It also marks the wall, obstacles and what is more, it can even avoid any possibility of drop off. This navigation system indicator is also instrumental to signal Mint’s range. Whenever it goes out of the room or gets too far from the navigation cube, the number of lights goes down.
